The clothing brand’s statement read, “boohooMAN condemn the use of homophobic language and confirm we will no longer be working with DaBaby,” the statement reads. “Diversity and inclusion are part of the boohoo Groups DNA, and we pride ourselves on representing the diverse customers we serve across the globe. We stand by and support the LGBTQ+ community and do not tolerate any hate speech or discrimination in any form.

The commentary being referred to is when Dababy said the following during his time on stage, ”If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases, that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.”

The rapper also mentioned other inappropriate comments targeted towards women and the gay community during the performance.

According to TMZ, the rapper received backlash left and right from fans, celebrities and other artist.

DaBaby later released a video defending himself by saying that his gay fans don’t have HIV/AIDS because they’re not “nasty gay n****s” or “junkies.”

He also tweeted clapping back at “brands, networks, or artists” criticizing him for his comments.

He did, “Keep yo money next time,” at so-called industries that profit “off of black rappers influence on the culture.”
