Bobby Brown Jr.’s Cause of Death Ruled Accidental Overdose

According to his newly released autopsy, Bobby Brown, Jr., son of R&B legend Bobby Brown, died of an accidental overdose of drugs, reported TMZ.

Brown was found unresponsive by his girlfriend at his California home on November 18. He was reported dead on the scene at the age of 28. Initially, authorities did not disclose his identity. However, his death was confirmed by his brother Landon Brown, Bobby Brown’s oldest child, later.

According to the family, Bobby Jr. said he had been feeling flu-like symptoms and generally not well in the days before his passing. The family has confirmed through TMZ that Bobby Jr. did not have coronavirus.

The recently-released document included a toxicology report which found the famous singer’s son to have ingested a deadly cocktail that included cocaine, alcohol, Percocet and fentanyl. A witness had also seen Brown drinking, taking the drugs, and communicated this to authorities.

Police found no indication of foul play involved in Brown’s death and they told TMZ they didn’t find any drugs or paraphernalia at the scene, either. The autopsy officially ruled his death accidental.

He is the second child lost to Bobby Brown, Sr. in the span of a few years. His daughter Bobbi Kristina with the late Whitney Houston died in July 2015 after spending months in a coma. She also was found to have drugs in her system prior to hospitalization.

Born in 1991, Bobby Jr. was Bobby Brown, Sr. and Kim Ward, who dated off and on for over 11 years, according to E! Online. Bobby Jr. was following in his father’s footsteps and attempting to secure a music career at the time of his passing.
