Famed emcees Eve and Trina went head-to-head on Wednesday night for their Verzuz battle, the first to feature female rappers. Naturally, fans were divided on whose side they were on, with many on social media either repping Team Trina or Team Eve.
Bringing out long-time collaborator Trick Daddy along with her own set of background dancers to the event, Trina performed hits “Da Baddest Bitch” and “Nann” for the live audience.

Eve started off her track set with her 2008 hit “Tambourine,” and also indulged fans with “What Ya Want,” her 1999 collab with fellow Ruff Ryders artist Nokio, where the Philadelphia-born artist coined her nickname “Pitbull in a Skirt.”
“The Verzuz yesterday between Trina and eve was lit. Them two have so much respect for each other I love it. And u love them both,” one fan tweeted about the highly-anticipated live Verzuz battle.
“TOP TIER ENTERTAINMENT: EVE vs. Trina VERZUZ Battle Gave EXACTLY What It Was Supposed To Give,” another fan said, going up for both rap artists.
Praising the Miami rapper for bringing background dancers and giving a top-notch performance, one Twitter user stated, “Trina brought out dancers? [laughing emojis] turned the Verzuz to a whole concert.”
Placing their stock in Team Trina, another fan said “Trina won. Eve is legendary as hell still. #VERZUZ”
Team Eve was also in attendance during the battle, with a fan tweeting after the Verzuz, “Eve ate Trina UP on the My Chick Bad remix #VERZUZ,”
referring to their 2010 collab with Ludacris.
