According to Deadline, the ever so fabulous Billy Porter and Zachary Quinto will portray a gay couple in the reboot of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder.
Billy Porter and Zachary Quinto will be the voice of new characters in the animated sitcom named Randall and Barry Leibowitz-Jenkins. The couple has a 14-year-old girl named Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, who actress Keke Palmer will voice. Kyla Pratt will also return as Penny Proud.
Actors Tommy Davidson, Paula Jai Parker and Cedric the Entertainer were original cast members of the sitcom and will return.
The Proud Family followed the trials and tribulations of Penny Proud as she navigated her teen years.
Disney Plus posted a picture of the characters on Instagram along with a caption.

The show will focus on Penny, her parents Oscar and Trudy (played by Tommy Davidson and Paula Jai Parker), her twin sisters Bebe and Cece, her Uncle Bobby (Cedric the Entertainer), and her granny Suga Mama. The family’s friends and neighbors will also be featured.
Executive producers Ralph Farquhar and Bruce W. Smith break down the characters below.
Solange and Destiny’s Child performed the original version of The Proud Family. There’s no word yet if the show will use the same theme song. Billy Porter is a gifted singer and performer with an Emmy, Grammy and Tony award to prove it. If you’ve never heard him sing, here is a little treat.
If the show is redoing the theme song, Porter would be an obvious choice.
The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is set to premiere in 2022 on Disney Plus.
