TMZ reported that Bill Cosby has officially canceled his comedy tour due to his ongoing sexual assault lawsuit.
Andrew Wyatt, the comedian’s representative, told the outlet that Cosby’s comedy tour had been canceled with no resuming date scheduled because of Judy Huth’s civil lawsuit against Cosby.
Wyatt told the outlet that Cosby wasn’t going on tour at the moment because he was avoiding bad press from the media, which he expected would diss him if he were to tour.
Cosby was more than likely to face negative press regardless, but presenting himself onstage might worsen his image.
Despite this, Wyatt noted that the tour’s cancelation has nothing to do with a lack of interest in the job; on the contrary, he mentioned that dozens of people had contacted Cosby for gigs.

As previously reported, Huth sued Cosby almost a decade ago in 2014 for sexual assault, alleging that he harassed her at the Playboy Mansion when she was only 15-years-old.
Cosby has since denied the allegations, and the suit was placed on hold while Cosby faced the Andrea Constand case, which also accused him of sexual harassment.
Huth’s case against the Fat Albert creator now has a set trial for Spring 2022.
Constand alleged that Cosby drugged and raped her while visiting his home in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania. Cosby was later ordered to pay Constand almost $3.4 million in a settlement suit back in 2006.
In July, Cosby said that he wanted to tour the country and host stand-up comedy shows at prisons, schools, and neighborhoods in hopes of influencing people to be “better citizens and curbing violence.”
Wyatt stands behind the claim that despite Cosby being in hot waters legally, “The world wants to see Mr. Cosby.”
