Beyoncé has new music on the way, and the Beyhive is excitedly rejoicing!
The 28-time Grammy Award winner took to Instagram on Thursday and teased what appeared to be the title of her upcoming solo album, “Renaissance,” which is slated for release on July 29, Deadline reported. Fans suspected something was happening when the Houston native deleted the profile photos and bios from her social media accounts earlier this month.
Several profiles were updated and read “act i Renaissance 7.29,” prompting music streaming services such as Apple, Tidal, and Spotify to announce the date. In addition, Beyoncé’s website also provided links for “pre-save” and “pre-add” options regarding the forthcoming album.

The new Renaissance merchandise includes T-Shirts, a photo booklet, and posters that are available for purchase.
A source familiar with the project told Variety that “Renaissance” is expected to have 16 tracks featuring dance and country music songs. So far, One Republic’s Ryan Tedder and singer-songwriter Raphael Saadiq are noted contributors to the album.
While it remains unclear whether multiple projects will follow the album’s release, it would be Beyoncé’s seventh studio album as a follow-up to “Lemonade” in 2016. Additionally, the “Halo” artist could release a single ahead of Juneteenth, similar to her “Black Parade” single in 2020.
The singer recently “turned up the heat” on the cover of British Vogue’s July issue, wearing an Afrofuturistic ensemble while sitting on a horse. Edward Enninful, British Vogue’s editor-in-chief, described the new music Beyoncé had played for him during the photoshoot.
“Instantly, a wall of sound hits me. Soaring vocals and fierce beats combine and in a split second I’m transported back to the clubs of my youth. I want to get up and start throwing moves. It’s music I love to my core. Music that makes you rise, that turns your mind to cultures and subcultures, to our people past and present, music that will unite so many on the dance floor, music that touches your soul. As ever with Beyoncé, it is all about the intent. I sit back, after the wave, absorbing it all.”
The latest issue of British Vogue hits newsstands on June 21.
