“Basketball Wives” Star Brooke Bailey’s Daughter Dies In A Car Crash

Basketball Wives reality star Brooke Bailey is mourning the death of her daughter Kayla Bailey, who died Saturday.

Bailey confirmed the news of her 25-year-old daughter’s passing in an Instagram post but didn’t say what caused her death.

“Forever my baby, Pretty Black aka Kayla Nicole Bailey 💜🕊💔 This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon.”

Twitter account known to post all news regarding Basketball Wives announced that Kayla died in a car accident.

The accident allegedly happened on Sept. 25. Bailey updated her Instagram bio to honor her daughter, writing, “FOREVER💜🕊Kayla Nicole Bailey 3/2/97-9/25/22 #PrettyBlack.”

No further details about the accident have been released; however, commenters swooped in to give their condolences.

Actress and vegan food influencer Tabitha Brown commented, “Omg my heart just broke for you. I’m so sorry honey.”

Rapper Nicki Minaj posted on her Instagram story after hearing the news apologizing to Bailey about her loss.

“I can’t begin to understand what your heart is feeling right now,” the message read. “May your angel rest in perfect peace.”

Real Housewives of Atlanta reality star Porsha Williams commented under Bailey’s Instagram post, “Jesus, I’m praying for you! Sorry for your loss.”

The Basketball Wives‘ Instagram made a statement after hearing the news.

“We are deeply saddened to hear about the loss of Brooke Bailey’s daughter Kayla,” the statement read. “Our hearts go out to Brooke and her family and friends during this very difficult time.”

Kayla was an entrepreneur and owned a hair styling business KNB Inc., which was based in Memphis, Tennessee. Kayla has also briefly appeared on her mom’s VH1 reality show. Bailey made her Basketball Wives debut in 2012.

She updated her followers on her well-being after sharing the outpour of support from those close to the family.

“My baby girl is so Loved by all of youuuuu !!! The love and support my family has received today is unreal and appreciated,” Bailey wrote. “Thank you! Kayla left a mark on so many lives. She entered the room and demanded respect, love and attention. If you had the pleasure of meeting her and being friends with her she has forever changed your life.”

She added, “Although, I was not prepared. I am grateful for the 25 years he blessed me to have HIS child. To love her, to hold her, to teach her, to comfort her. She was my happiness on earth.”
