Basketball Wives’ Brooke Bailey recently opened up about her daughter, Kayla Bailey’s tragic death saying, “I am fragile and broken.”
On November 25, Brooke shared a photo of herself sitting next to Kayla’s gravesite with a framed portrait of the young woman in hand.
“It’s an Angel Mom thing. Be glad you don’t understand,” her emotional caption said. “I am fragile and broken and have felt sadness and despair beyond what words can explain.”
She continued, expressing how devastated she felt about her daughter’s untimely passing.
“My child is gone from this earth, and there is no pain as intense as what is in my broken heart. #PrettyBlack [purple heart and infinity emojis],” she wrote.
Brooke shared the IG post just two months after revealing the gutwrenching news of Kayla’s death via Instagram. The 25-year-old reportedly died in a car accident in Memphis.
“Forever my baby, Pretty Black, aka Kayla Nicole Bailey,” she wrote along with a slide show of her daughter’s photos on September 25. “This is not a goodbye. Mommy will see you soon.”
The shocking news initially left fans and followers wondering what had happened to Kayla. Though Brooke didn’t share her cause of death at first, she later released a statement saying her daughter and driver, Julius Weaver, died after a “fatal collision with a tractor-trailer.”
A crash report from the Memphis Police Department confirmed the incident, sharing that Kayla was in a blue Mercedes-Benz S550 that was totaled and towed to MPD’s vehicle storage lot.
Her mother’s latest post received supportive replies from Basketball Wives co-stars Jennifer Williams and Brandi Maxiell.
“I love you, my baby,” Maxiell wrote, with Jackie Christie commenting with two heart emojis and a prayer hands emoji.
“Love you, Brooke,” Williams commented on the IG post.
