Food service workers are truly angels on Earth. Bartender Anessa Rossi is an archangel. She not only served Kanye West but listened to his philosophies on life for several hours. For her hard work, she earned a $15,000 tip.

Anessa posted a TikTok video about her encounter with the producer/shoe designer/2020 presidential hopeful at the bar she worked at “a few years ago. She explained that many celebrities, particularly athletes and rappers, would visit the club and display unsavory behavior, but Kanye was different.

“My club gets a lot of rappers, athletes, people that just want to show up and show out and do things for Instagram but not Kanye. It was completely different,” the bartender said.

Unlike many entertainers who indulge in bottle service and endlessly pop champagne corks, Kanye ordered a simple glass of water on the rocks. It was enough to wet his whistle and have a conversation with the bartender about all of his beliefs.

Kanye went from being best-known as a rapper on Jay-Z’s Roc Nation label to a type of pop-culture legend. He has been described as everything from a genius (mainly by himself) to a jackass, a remark made by former President Obama. A few years back, the artist went through an awakening of sorts and emerged with several new thoughts about humanity, religion, and even politics. He even started making gospel music.

Perhaps his awakening, which seemed to coincide with his marital troubles, is what led him to have an in-depth discourse with the lucky bartender.

“His conversation went on with me for about three or four hours, and he told me at the end of the night, thank you for my time, gave me $15,000 and said he felt he was called to do this and left,” Anessa said as she put on her make-up.

We definitely thank Anessa for her service, and we respect Kanye for acknowledging the fortitude involved in listening to him pontificate for four hours and leaving a nice tip.
