In an Instagram comment, Azealia Banks responded to a fan who suggested that Beyoncé should have used some of Banks’ beats for the dance-heavy ‘Renaissance.’ Her reply was nothing short of bold and unapologetic, stating, “She knew better. Because I would have sued her, Sony, Columbia, Parkwood, Tidal, AND Blue Ivy. I would have sued the fake Basquiat dreads right off Jay’s head. I’m not the one.”

In a series of Instagram stories that had her followers buzzing, Banks held nothing back as she took on the pop icon, attacking her in a different way.

“I never in a million years thought Kim K would look healthier, more alert, more sober, and overall happier and in control of her sh*t than Beyoncé,” Banks candidly wrote. The rapper compared Beyoncé to reality star Kim Kardashian, expressing her surprise at seeing the latter appear more content and in charge of her life.

But Banks didn’t stop there. She went on to critique the once-powerful image she had of Beyoncé, claiming she now seems “obviously sad” when seen with her husband, Jay-Z. “Hate comparing, but Bey really dropped the ball on the aspirational pieces,” she continued. It’s clear that the rapper believes Beyoncé’s aura of power has dimmed over the years, leaving her feeling disillusioned.

Banks didn’t shy away from addressing the elephant in the room either. The state of Beyoncé’s relationship with Jay-Z was on her radar, and she didn’t mince her words. “Dead a** mean this with the most love ever, it’s time for you to get some NEW DK, so you can have some new energy and inspiration!!! That JAY-Z dk is out of steam, honey. Leave his deflated ass where he is, he would do it to you,” she said, offering some unsolicited advice to the star.
