After the Will Smith slapping Chris Rock controversy at the Oscars, many celebrities went to social media or did interviews voicing their opinion and clarifying their stance on the matter. The most recent star to do the same is musician August Alsina. A post from the singer’s Instagram shows him addressing the situation indirectly and confusing fans.
“Choose peace; trusting that life’s intricate puzzle pieces are all forming together for the greater good and mastering of the seasonally sometime chaotic nature of your life’s art piece that’s being formed and painted by birthing life to your internal masterpiece.”
That’s only part of the confusing post.

User @hairsosweet commented, “Ima read that a few more times for understanding. I mean, I read it… but Ima gon head and read it again because that was a RUN ON run-on sentence.”
Those that understood the post praised the singer for his jumble of words.
To help those who didn’t understand his first post, Alsina made another post that included a video of the “Peace be steel” scene from Tyler Perry’s Diary of a Mad Black Woman: The Play. From watching that, one can assume that Alsina agrees with Will Smith’s action since his first post said to choose peace and Madea compares peace to her gun.

The Smith family has been in the headlines for their many spilled secrets for quite some time. Back in 2020, Pinkett-Smith came clean about being involved with the singer, with whom the public and press had a field day. So, after Chris Rock made a joke about Pinkett-Smith’s alopecia, it’s no surprise that Will was fed up with people picking on his wife.
Regarding her stance on the issue of her husband’s action, Pinkett-Smith made a pretty vague post on Instagram, saying, “This is a season for healing, and I’m here for it.”
