As DMX’s estate continues through probate, another wrench has been thrown into the game. Page Six reported that a woman claiming to be the mother of the rapper’s 15th child had come forward for her portion of X’s minuscule pie.
Raven Barner-Simmons reached out to DMX’s adult children over the past several weeks to inform them of the child’s existence. The other 14 children and the newly-discovered child will undergo DNA testing to determine if X is the father.
Last Friday, Magistrate Helen Blackwood specified that the rapper’s, born Earl Simmons, three adult sons with ex-wife Tashera would be temporary executors of their father’s estate. Xavier, Tacoma and Sean Simmons were given authority after fiancée Desiree Lindstrom filed a motion as his “common-law wife” and lost. Lindstrom is also the mother of DMX’s five-year-old son, Exodus.
The “Get At Me Dog” rapper’s estate is only estimated to be worth $1 million. He didn’t have a will. The estate and probate attorney for Xavier, Tacoma and Sean Simmons– Herbert Nass told Page Six, “Judge Blackwood appointed Xavier, Tacoma and Sean as the temporary administrators of the estate. The next big thing is to determine who are the rightful heirs. The estate is going to ask everyone to prove paternity through DNA testing. All the legal children of DMX will be entitled to an equal share of his estate.”
The attorney also explained that he was marred by debt even though the rapper had an incredibly successful career.
“We need to collect assets and pay debts and administration costs. We don’t have a lot of information about his income streams, but now the temporary administrators have been appointed, we can ask questions and expect answers.”
DMX passed away in April from a heart attack brought on by drugs.
