Angelina Jolie Visits Daughter For Spelman’s Homecoming Weekend, Black Twitter Applauds Her Support

Award-winning actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie recently visited her daughter for Spelman’s homecoming weekend, and Black Twitter applauded her support.

According to The Huffington Post, Angelina joined Zahara for the famed HBCU’s festivities, which went down from Oct. 16 to 23–her first one since she began attending the school in August. The celebration’s attendees shared pictures of the actress, as she was photographed in all smiles while hanging with parents, students, and others at the event. Naturally, Black Twitter got wind of the photos and expressed their appreciation for the actress’ support.

“Angelina Jolie was OUTSIDE with her daughter Zahara at Spelhouse Homecoming this past weekend,” @GAFollowers wrote.

“Angelina Jolie and her daughter Zahara are so cute [doe-eyed emoji],” @imnikkiheat tweeted.

“Angelina Jolie just casually walking around with her daughter at Spelman during Homecoming (I was doing community service looking an embarrassing mess),” @coco_michelle__ said.

“Angelina Jolie and Zahara talking to one of the students in Spelman College asking their Spelman experience!” @DaggerIsLove wrote.

Angelina was even pictured next to Zahara while the teen held a sign supporting Georgia political candidate Stacey Abrams.

“Angelina and Zahara supporting Stacy Abrams at the Spelhouse homecoming! #AngelinaJolie,” @THENAGODOFWAR tweeted.

The Eternals actress’ visit came as no surprise, as she expressed her excitement for Zahara’s admission to Spelman during Summer of 2022. At the time, she shared an Instagram post about it and showed off beautiful pics of her daughter’s send-off party.

“Zahara with her Spelman sisters! Congratulations to all new students [who are] starting this year,” she wrote

in a photo of Zahara surrounded by fellow Spelman girls. “A very special place and an honor to have a family member as a new Spelman girl. #spelman #spelmancollege #spelmansisters #HBCU.”

Spelman is a private Atlanta-based all-girl HBCU that was founded as the Atlanta Baptist Female Seminary in 1881.
