LSU’s College basketball star Angel Reese will be riding around campus in style after signing a major endorsement deal with a Baton Rouge Mercedes-Benz dealership shortly before her 21st birthday.
Reese, who is one of the top women’s basketball players in the country, secured the endorsement with the help of Bayou Traditions and Matchpoint Connection, two companies that specialize in helping student-athletes connect with NIL deals. The car, a brand-new EQS580, was purchased in part by the NIL deal and Reese.
The basketball star shared photos posed next to her new whip with a red bow on the car’s hood along with photos of her holding her keys and sitting inside.
She captioned her Instagram post, “BIG BODY BENZ BARBIE! Why not get a new car when it’s your 21st birthday week???. Thank you, Mercedes-Benz of Baton Rouge, for helping me purchase my NEW CAR!! This is a gift to myself for everything that I’ve accomplished in 1 YEAR.”

The details of the deal remain under wraps, but it’s clear that Reese’s star power is on the rise.
Reese’s new Mercedes-Benz is just the latest in a series of endorsement deals she has signed since winning a national title last month. She has also signed deals with TurboTax, McDonald’s, Bose, JanSport, Xfinity, and Outback Steakhouse, among others.
According to On3, Reese is one of 22 student-athletes with a NIL valuation in the seven figures, and her valuation has risen from $371,000 to $1.4 million since the start of March Madness.
Reese has been using her social media platforms to connect with fans and promote her brand. She has been racking up millions of followers in just a few weeks, and her agent, Jeanine Ogbonnaya, believes that she has the following to back up long-term partnerships with brands that align with her brand and messaging.
“She’s not just a student-athlete anymore or a marketable women’s basketball player where we’re doing these one-off deals,” Jeanine Ogbonnaya, her agent, told On3. “I think at this point, she’s got the following to back it up where she can be doing long-term partnerships that truly align with her brand and her messaging, and finding those brands that align with that as well.”
With her new Mercedes-Benz and her growing list of endorsement deals, Reese is sure to continue making waves both on and off the court.
