Daughter of Kel Mitchell, Allure has claimed that her father was both absent and a narcissist for most of her life with him. In a series of TikTok videos, Allure claimed that her father only offered her financial support and was emotionally unavailable. The 21-year-old’s private TikTok video was reposted to Instagram on December 29.
“I guess ten years without your children could do this to you. I am done being silenced. My father is the type of man to fake as if he’s in my life, but he’s not. He was there financially.” Allure began, “[he]only paid for what in my eyes looked good on paper,” She listed her car, tuition and housing as things that he took care of. “But then I have to remember he doesn’t even know me. How could he?” she continued talking about the Kenan & Kel alum. “He wasn’t there. A father should also be there emotionally. A father should be there for their daughters in need. A father should provide. A father should just simply care.” She said that she learned that she didn’t need her father when she began living independently and that when she was “homeless in college,” he got her another place to stay instead of inviting her to live with him.
Allure asserted that much of his behavior was due to Kel’s relationship with her mother, Tyisha Hampton – who Kel divorced messily in 2005. Allure said that he wouldn’t even get her life insurance. “He lives in this delusional world that my mother is ‘out to get him’ no, she’s out to get what’s owed to her,” Allure wrote. “You owe my mother so much. While you got to live your greatest life for ten years without us, building your career and selling the house your ex-wife and your children were living in.
“In the end, she lost [the lawsuit], and we were without a home, still without a home,” She finished, “Yet Kel Mitchell, my father, gets to live in a five-bedroom house in the valley. Yet, in his eyes, I’m ungrateful. I never cared about your money. I just needed my dad.”

The Mitchell family was previously in the media for the lawsuit between Kel and Tyisha Hampton. Kel attempted to get a judge to force her to stop publicly calling him a “deadbeat father” and hounding him for money she owed. As previously reported by Sis2Sis, Tyisha alleged that she was owed $1.2 million in back child and spousal support. Kel continued to maintain that the allegations were entirely false.
