Alicia Keys Wants A Verzuz Battle With Queen Bey or Rihanna

Verzuz battles are still bringing in the views nearly two years after hip-hop producers Timbaland and Swizz Beatz kicked it off in 2020. And while Alicia Keys previously went against John Legend last year, she’s ready to go head-to-head again, this time with Beyoncé or Rihanna.

While on the Drink Champs podcast, the “You Don’t Know My Name” songstress said, “I personally need another

Verzuz,” before asking others in the room which they thought she should go up against. When Rihanna and Beyoncé’s names were mentioned, Keys commented, “That’s a good one. Alright, I like that: me, Bey or Rih.”

And while she could hardly contain her excitement at the thought, many others on social media were not really here for the matchups. One Twitter user wrote about the hypothetical Verzuz, Alicia Keys saying she would want to do a Verzuz

battle with Beyonce or Rihanna has got to be the funniest thing I’ve heard all week,”

“I love me some Alicia Keys, but a Verzuz with her and Rihanna and Beyoncé would never make sense.” another person added. “The music vibe she has is completely different, and Alicia already did a Verzuz with John Legend.”
