Nine-time Grammy Award-winning songstress Alicia Keys’ son, Egypt Dean, recently shocked audience members at a concert in Germany with a stellar piano performance.
According to reports, 11-year-old Egypt, whom Alicia shares with her Grammy Award-winning husband Swizz Beatz, played the piano at The Alicia + Keys World Tour concert on June 23. The show took place at SAP Arena in Mannheim, Germany.
“Egy, we are so proud of you!!! This is crazy!!” Alicia said about her son’s riveting performance. She uploaded a video of it and praised Egypt for his talent via Instagram on June 24. “He’s been asking me to go on stage every show, and me being in mama bear mode, I’m thinking….’ Is it to much? To many people? Is now the time? Should he practice more??’ This guy gets on the stage as if there wasn’t 17,000 people out there and just smashes!! All confidence, all smiles, all natural!!! Wow! I’m blown away!!”

She continued, thanking Germany for their support and energy that night.

Egypt reportedly played “il vento d’oro” from the popular Japanese anime JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind and the Game Of Thrones theme song, “Merry Go Round of Life,” which also derived from a popular anime film titled Howl’s Moving Castle.
Swizz Beatz, whose real name is Kasseem Dean, took to Instagram to gush over his son’s piano performance as well.
“Tonight was amazing, Dean family love wowwwwwww,” he wrote. “Egypt hit the Big stage on Mama’s world tour what a brave King. @aliciakeys, you’re on another level gheeeezzzzzzuzzzzzz Congrats to Mama & Egy SOLD OUT!!!!”
