In the middle of November, Roker was taken into the hospital for a blood clot found in his leg, which sent some into his lungs. The anchor was discharged and made it home to enjoy his family at Thanksgiving dinner. While he wasn’t at the Thanksgiving Macy’s Day parade co-hosting, he got to enjoy it from the comfort of his home.

The day after Thanksgiving, Roker was rushed back to the hospital. While admitted, Roker posted a photo of the city from a window, writing he hoped to be coming home soon.
“Hopefully, coming home soon, but when your spirit sags a bit, you get to see that and recharge,” Roker wrote. “God Bless you all for all the prayers and well wishes for me and my family.”
