Award-winning rapper A$AP Rocky was arrested at LAX following his Barbados vacation with his girlfriend, Grammy award-winning singer, billionaire, and entrepreneur, Rihanna.

According to reports, Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arrested at the Los Angeles airport on Apr. 20 in connection to a November 2021 shooting near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue. He has been under investigation by the LAPD since a victim claimed Mayers approached him on the street with a handgun and shot him three to four times. The unnamed individual added that a bullet grazed his left hand.

The 33-year-old rapper was reportedly booked into a local jail, with bail set at $550,000, and charged with assault with a deadly weapon. Law enforcement sources also confirmed that a search warrant was executed at his Los Angeles home.

Mayers was released from jail less than three hours after posting bond and was scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 17. He was reportedly picked up from LAPD headquarters in a Black SUV.

on Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, with prominent shoe designer Amina Muaddi. Blogger Louis Pisano started the story, which recently took social media by storm, but has since apologized for it.

“I’m not going to talk about sources, blame others for a discussion that was started, etc., because, at the end of the day, I made the decision to draft that tweet, press send and put that out with my name on it,” Pisano wrote about his now-deleted tweet on Apr. 15. “I’d like to formally apologize to all parties involved with my actions and for my reckless tweets.”

Muaddi chimed in, calling the blogger’s initial claims an “unfounded lie.”

“I’ve always believed that an unfounded lie spread on social media doesn’t deserve any response or clarification, especially one that is so vile,” she said in an Instagram post on the same day.

Meanwhile, Mayers and Fenty were busy enjoying a fabulous getaway on the singer’s native island as the internet drama unfolded. The pair are expecting their first child together, which they announced back in January.
