According to a recent social media post, Sabrina Parr Lamar Odom’s ex-girlfriend has been diagnosed with ovarian cancer.
In a gut-wrenching post, the young socialite gave insight to the world on her current health condition. Parr posted a trio of photos, including one of her laying down at the frame of a CT scan machine in a hospital gown and two other pictures of her swollen belly.

“I have been quietly battling something for quite some time, and I’m finally ready to share it,” Parr captioned her post. “I found out this year that I have been walking around with a malignant tumor inside my ovary that has grown 5 inches wide in size.”
Parr, known for her dedication to fitness, specifically jump rope, described what it’s been like not being able to work out or be as active as she usually is.
“I haven’t been able to work out and jump rope for months (which some of you may have noticed). Every day I fought off depression as I struggled through the pain and watching my body change. Despite what was weighing me down, I had to learn how to get up and still be me every day!” she said.
“Tomorrow, I will undergo surgery to remove my tumor and whatever is necessary to get me healthy and be cancer-free! I’ll be down for eight weeks and will have minimal mobility. I think that is the most challenging part to process. I’ve had four knee surgeries in the past, so I do know what to expect!” Parr continued.
The jump-rope mogul then went on to describe her reasoning behind her disease and said that she’d never let it happen again.
“For those of you who may be asking yourself, “she’s so healthy, how did this happen to her?” STRESS!!! That’s how! I allowed way too many people and things to stress me out over the past few years! Never again, though! My body has had enough!” Parr said.
“I want to say to all of you who may be going through something similar or anything at all; Do not just lay down and die! Instead, find new reasons to live! Figure out how to come alive again! At first, I was preparing to die. Now I am preparing to live better than ever!!! I’ll see you guys after I wake up tomorrow!”
Just two weeks ago, the White House claimed the month of September to be Ovarian Cancer Awareness month.
President Biden stated that his “Administration is also dedicated to protecting ovarian cancer patients through the Affordable Care Act (ACA,” and that “despite ovarian cancer rates being highest among white women, Black women are more likely to die from this disease because of lack of access to health care, socioeconomic disparities, and other causes still under study.”
Parr later posted an update to her surgery, saying that it went smoothly and she is recovering.
