Jim Jones has once again made it clear he has no plans of jumping the broom with his long-time girlfriend, Chrissy Lampkin. Jones made an appearance on Chicago WGCI’s The Morning Show and clarified that fans would not hear wedding bells any time soon.
Chrissy made the bold decision to propose to Jones on the first season of Love & Hip Hop: New York in 2011. Chrissy took a brief break from their relationship during the show’s second season because Jim Jones wasn’t moving fast enough for her, but they eventually got back together and are still going strong.

When asked if there was pressure to marry Lampkin by host Kendra G., Jones stated, “Nope. You married?”
Kendra replied, “I’m not married.”
Jones continued and asked, “ Your mama married?”
Kendra responded, “My mother wasn’t married either. “
Jim Jones stated, “Alright, then! That should answer your question. Why you worried about me getting married? You talking to me about something that you or your mom haven’t fulfilled. So, you shouldn’t worry about what’s going on in my house.”

Although Chrissy was the most eager to make her way down the aisle, in 2020, she started singing a different tune about marriage. “To be honest with you, it’s not a priority anymore, she said on an appearance on The Real.
“Our relationship is in a good place. I thought that that was, like, the natural progression [to get engaged], but it’s not for everybody. So, we’re good right now.”
About her proposal to Jones, Chrissy also revealed that she never watched the episode when it aired until years later. “It was weird, and I’m not in that space anymore,” said Chrissy, “but that’s okay. I still love him. The love is still there.”
They say good things come to those who wait, so if this couple ever makes it down the aisle, we would hope the wedding would be worth the delay.
