Megan Thee Stallion and Ms. Lauryn Hill are headlining the 2023 Global Citizen Festival!
The Global Citizen Festival announced on Tuesday that the event is back with performances by headliners Ms. Lauryn and Megan.
The performances will occur on Saturday, Sept. 23, 2023, at the Great Lawn of Central Park in New York City.
Other performances include the rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers, Conan Gray and Stay Kids.
Ms. Lauryn took to Instagram to announce her performance at the festival, letting her fans know she’s using the performance to celebrate the 25th anniversary of her 1998 debut solo album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill.”

According to the press release, the event is free. It aims to highlight significant global issues, from extreme poverty and a global food and malnutrition crisis to climate change and inequities impacting the world’s women and girls.
Co-Founder and CEO of Global Citizen, Hugh Evans, commented about how the event is the perfect opportunity to unite all the “G7 nations” (Group of Seven), a group of countries with advanced economies, to enact change.
“COP27 ( the 27th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change), this year’s G7, the World Bank Spring Meetings and the Paris climate finance summit all failed to deliver tangible results or disruption of the world’s unjust systems,” Evans said.
“But complacency can’t win,” Evans continued. “If we want to see breakthroughs on development and climate change, we need the U.S., U.K., Canada, Australia, and all G7 nations to meet the urgency of the hour. Every single citizen has a vital role to play, and together, we must be laser-focused on driving results and impact in September.”
Those interested in attending will be happy to hear that tickets are free and can be earned by assisting the festival in reaching its goals by taking action and getting involved in the movement.
