Tina Turner’s husband, Erwin Bach, is expected to inherit a substantial portion of the iconic singer’s estimated $250 million fortune.
In an exclusive interview with the Sunday Mirror, Afida Turner, who was married to Tina’s late son Ronnie until his passing in 2022 at the age of 62 due to complications from colon cancer, shed light on the likely distribution of the star’s wealth.
The 46-year-old shared, “As she married in Switzerland, I think around 47 percent will go to the spouse and the rest to the children.”
Tina Turner’s family extends beyond biological ties, as she also adopted two of her abusive ex-husband Ike Turner’s sons. Additionally, she welcomed a son named Craig from a previous relationship with musician Raymond Hill when she was just 18 years old. Tragically, Craig took his own life in 2018, an event Tina described as the “saddest moment as a mother.”
Afida further revealed that the complex family dynamics may complicate the estate’s distribution. Tina’s two biological children are Craig and Ronnie, with Ike Jr. being the non-adopted son.
The renowned “What’s Love Got to Do With It” singer tied the knot with the 67-year-old music producer a decade ago, following a 27-year-long romance.
Bach’s unwavering support for Tina throughout her health struggles, including a life-saving kidney donation in 2017 and her 2013 stroke, has solidified their bond.
In a heartwarming Valentine’s day social post, Turner wrote “Who would have thought that a moment of boldness would lead to decades of shared bliss? I didn’t. When I first asked Erwin out, it was a spur-of-the-moment decision. Sometimes seconds change your life. Because you feel a spark, an instant connection. For me, that’s what my thumb ring symbolizes. The moment I put it on my thumb, I felt stronger, more confident. Since then, it brings me luck and always reminds me to stay strong and seize opportunities. In this spirit: I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day this year and overcome all your challenges with love and courage in your heart!”
