Beauty brand Clinique is looking for ways to appeal to the younger generation, and it recently made the right move to achieve its goal. The skincare and makeup brand announced Black-ish actress Marsai Martin as its new brand ambassador and first-ever Partner Producer.
Martin, a skincare advocate, will be helping the brand develop ideas to enhance its storytelling, social media presence and more.
Michelle Freyre, the Global Brand President of Clinique and Origins, expressed her elation about working with the young mogul.
“We are thrilled to welcome Marsai as a Clinique Brand Ambassador and first-ever Partner Producer,” Freyre said. “Her confidence and creative intellect truly embodies Clinique’s brand values.”
The Fantasy Football actress has made waves in the entertainment industry, earning the title of Hollywood’s youngest executive producer for her breakout film Little, an inverted version of Tom Hanks’ Big.
In addition to making history, the 18-year-old actress, producer and philanthropist founded the Los Angeles-based production company Genius Productions. She achieved 11 NAACP Image Awards, three BET awards, a Kidscreen Award, Young Entertainer Award and Young Artist Award.
In February, the young Hollywood star also launched a luxury nail brand Mari by Marsai.
These accomplishments are why Clinique dubbed the star the perfect brand ambassador — plus, she’s naturally beautiful!
In a mini interview with Clinique, Martin shared that she was familiar with the brand because her grandparents and mom had Clinique beauty products in their house. She wanted to partner with the beauty brand because it catered to all skin types.

Clinique, a beauty brand that has been around for over 50 years, firmly believes Martin’s personality and brain could bring a “fresh perspective” to the brand as it brainstorms ways to bolster its engagement with Gen Z.
Martin and Clinique’s first social media campaign will feature some of the actress’s favorite products and debut this summer.
