Rapper Cardi B declared people who put on a “mean girl persona” on the internet were nerds.
The “Money” rapper tweeted this in response to a viral video of a Texas girl being mocked for taking pics of herself at a baseball game.
“Watch my confidence disappear after these random girls make fun of me for taking pics,” the girl named Jackie wrote in the TikTok post.
In the video, two girls are seen flipping off the camera, laughing at Jackie, whispering to each other and filming her — mean-girl antics.
@jackielabonita Please be nice #meangirls #meangirlvibes ♬ The Loser – Verzache
Instead of addressing them, Jackie kept to herself, but her facial expression proved their actions were pernicious.
After Cardi’s initial tweet about the situation, where she claimed mean girls on the internet were nerds in high school, commenters agreed with her and offered stories about their high school days.
Lmaooooo I thought I was the only one that be saying this lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂 Then if you pull up on them in real life, they’ll be ready to call the police lol 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

They really were and still are. Social media is their safe space. If you see them in real life they’re socially awkward and “introverted”. Social media is the only way they can get the validation they crave so much.

I was a nerd in high school and am now. I’ve never been a mean girl. We aren’t all that way. I actually try to make this planet better for my fellow humans. pic.twitter.com/d6tTgk5QYc

Quote tweeting the person who wrote, “And lonely asf at the lunch table,” Cardi continued her sentiments on the internet “mean girl persona.”

Cardi quote-tweeted a Twitter post containing Jackie’s video, writing, ” (sic) I would of put that ring to use,” referring to the massive ring on Jackie’s pointer finger.

After she posted the TikTok video, internet investigators made it their mission to find information on the mean girls to use against them.
Jackie later gave an update on the matter, stating she met with the girls, and they apologized for their behavior. She also expressed her disapproval of the internet harassing the girls.
@jackielabonitaI was really nervous but I needed to update y’all, thank you again for the support.♬ original sound – J💕
In response to the update video, Cardi B wrote, “Love this,” which didn’t sit right with some people who knew that the rapper wasn’t always the type to address confrontation peacefully.
Cardi clarified that she would’ve handled it by using the ring to distribute knuckle sandwiches to the girls, but she was supportive of the result of Jackie’s situation.
Yes because that’s how I WOULD OF HANDLE IT !! But if they came to a understanding and they apologized and the girl coming out her mouth saying to leave them alone I LOVE THAT TOO! https://t.co/QXqnV9bvLH
