Chance the Rapper and his wife, Kirsten Corley Bennett, have been under the watchful eye of social media for the past few weeks following the drama that sparked up between the couple following Chance’s 30th Birthday Celebration. Fans of the couple were able to take a deep breath of relief on April 29 when the pair told TMZ that they were just fine.
According to the outlet, Chance acknowledged all the buzz around them but said, “Everyone has their moments, but they’re all good.”
The drama began, as mentioned, on April 16 when Chance went to Jamaica Carnival to celebrate his birthday. A video went viral of the Chicago native getting wined on by Trinidadian influencer Mela Millz at the event. The “No Brainer” rapper and father of two was smiling and shirtless as he danced with Millz on video.

Many people took to the comments to express their dislike for his behavior, most bringing up his marriage to Corley as a reason why his behavior was unacceptable.

The speculation of a rift between the married couple was amplified when Corley posted a Maya Angelou quote about married people who never grow up on her Instagram.

Chance seemingly responded by reposting a clip of a Bill Burr stand-up comedy skit that talked about how complicated marriages were and how men tend to be a step behind women in the relationship.

Despite all the back and forth and speculations, TMZ assured that, according to their sources, the couple had smoothed over the drama between them.
