Rapper DaBaby is impartial regarding the Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez situation. A TMZ reporter asked if he would collab with the Houston rapper on a new album, to which he responded, “Absolutely.”
“Absolutely, Meg,” DaBaby said with a smile. “You know I’d do a new song with you.”
The reporter asked if they were “cool,” DaBaby said, “Absolutely, cooler than a fan, baby.”
When asked if the “Suge” rapper had spoken to Lanez, DaBaby said he hadn’t, and it was “hard to speak to him.”
DaBaby concluded the interview by saying he was cool with everybody.
Megan and DaBaby had a fallout after he made kooky and disrespectful allegations in his song “BOOGEYMAN” that he slept with the “Savage” rapper twice before Lanez shot her in the foot in 2020, instead of showing support for her.
“You played with me; that shit was childish. The day before she said that Tory Lanez shot her, I was f**kin’ on Megan Thee Stallion,” DaBaby rapped. “Waited to say that shit on my next album. Hit it the day before too.”
In the same verse, he also took jabs at her boyfriend, Pardison Fontaine (real name Jorden Kyle Lanier Thorpe).
“Had her pretty boy boyfriend tweeting me. Ready to die ’bout the b***h like a coward,” the lyrics read, referring to the 2021 Twitter feud he got into with Pardi.
Megan recently got candid about her hardships after revealing Lanez shot her, including peers in the music industry joking about her traumatic experience. She didn’t name anyone specifically, but DaBaby was one of them.
“Even some of my peers in the music industry piled on with memes, jokes, and sneak disses and completely ignored the fact that I could have lost my life,” she said in an article published in Elle magazine. “Instead of condemning any form of violence against a woman, these individuals tried to justify my attacker’s actions.”
