After gaining recognition on Reno 911! and eventually landing the leading role on Claws, Niecy Nash revealed in an interview that she would love for her next acting gig to be on Starz’s hit strip club-based drama P-Valley. Calling it her new wife, Jessica Bett’s favorite show, Nash gushed about her love for the drama, which is currently filming its second season.
The 51-year-old actress and television host sat down with Page Six to discuss her relationship and career. Mentioning her desire to be featured on P-Valley, she said, “I would love to be on ‘P-Valley,’ I think it’s a great show,” she told the gossip news outlet.

“I don’t necessarily have to be a stripper. For my significant other, it is her favorite show, so I would like to be on it just because of that.”
Speaking on if she had dance moves similar to the ladies on the show, she added, “I always practice moves. I’m married, and I wanna stay that way.”
Based in Chucalissa, Mississippi, P-Valley mostly centers around The Pynk and the strippers who work there. Following the series premiere in summer 2020, fans found themselves tuning in weekly for the onscreen drama between Uncle Clifford, Mercedes, Miss Mississippi and others. The show was renewed for a second season less than three weeks after its release.

Showrunner Katori Hall adapted the show from her popular play P*ssy Valley. Speaking on the show’s premise and deeper meaning, she told Playbill in 2020, “There were so many sad stories where the strip club in itself does participate in the subjugation of women because not all women want to do that as a job. And I don’t think that the play or the show is saying that this is all empowerment. I think it is dealing with the complexity, the complication of that.”
With luck, we’ll be watching Nash and her signature curves on the drama series later down the line. Due to current filming, though, she likely won’t be on the show’s second season.
No word yet on an official premiere date for season two of P-Valley.
