Beloved actress Tia Mowry recently revealed her plans to spend the Christmas holiday with her estranged husband, Cory Hardrict, amid divorce.
On Dec. 8, Tia told TMZ that she’s been “really excited” to spend the holidays with Cory and said her “whole family” would be together, referencing their son Cree, 11, and daughter Cairo, 4.
“Family is family no matter what happens, and that’s what’s important to me. So, we will always be family,” she said about her forthcoming Christmas plans.
The former Sister Sister star shared her plans just two months after she filed for divorce from the 43-year-old after 14 years of marriage. She reportedly made the filing in October, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
“We will maintain a friendship and as we co-parent our beautiful children…. I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives,” she said in an Instagram post that month.
The actress later told TMZ that she and her now-former husband have been doing “amazing with co-parenting” and that she had no complaints.
In November, Tia shared the moment she realized their union was over, Sis2Sis reported at the time.
“I knew when I really started to focus on my happiness,” she told hosts Hoda and Jenna via an interview on the TODAY show. “I feel like women, we tend to focus on everybody else’s happiness, making sure that everybody else is OK–meaning our children, our friends, our family.”
She continued, saying that “at the end of the day, it’s about self-love.”
“At the end of the day, it’s about self-love. When you start to really work on yourself, love yourself, know your value and know your worth, then all of a sudden, there’s this awakening. And it’s not easy. It’s a hard journey, but at the end of the day, it is so, so worth it.”
