Lil Scrappy recently brought LHHATL viewers to tears after revealing childhood trauma, saying, “I grew up in a whore house.”
On the Nov. 7 episode of the popular VH1 show, Lil Scrappy opened up about his trauma during a one-on-one conversation with his mother, Momma Dee.
“F**k cameras and all that s**t. I just want to say this: you, my mama…this is my wife [Bambi],” he said, eventually pointing to his wife, Bambi, who was in the room. For the past several years, there’s been tension between the two women on and off LHHATL.
“I’m with you,” the 33-year-old interjected.
Scrappy continued, saying he didn’t have any solid support besides the support he received from them.
“I don’t have nobody if y’all ain’t with me. I don’t have nobody!” he exclaimed. He then told Momma Dee that she should be more considerate of their relationship.
“You got to stop because you don’t have nobody that should make you support this even more because you know I want somebody,” the 38-year-old said.
He then shared that his mom raised him in a “trap house” and still affects him in adulthood.
“I saw your lifestyle. I grew up in a whore house. I grew up in a trap house, so all I knew was that… I love you ’cause you held it down, and like you did what you had to do but imagine,” Scrappy said about his childhood while breaking down into tears.
“You never had to sleep with your momma 24/7 ’cause you couldn’t go in your room,” he added. “You never had to walk in on motherf*****s using. You never had to walk in on motherf*****s f*****g. The way I was raised, I had to deal with that s**t, cuz. Everything that happened, I had to deal with that. And I’m still dealing with [it] ’cause ain’t nobody come and take me to get no help. I learned about that when I got older.”
Fellow LHHATL cast members were so stunned that they, too, were moved to tears.
