Superfly actor Kaalan Walker was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison after being found guilty of luring four women and three teenage girls with false promises through social media and raping them.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the 27-year-old actor will also be a registered sex offender for the rest of his life. He was charged with three counts of forcible rape, one count of assault to perform oral sex, two counts of statutory rape and two counts of rape by intoxication.
Sis2Sis previously reported that Walker committed the acts between 2013 and 2018. He took advantage of his celebrity status and enticed underaged girls through Instagram and Twitter by celebrity name-dropping, promising them opportunities to work in the entertainment industry and meet celebrities, bringing up prominent figures like Drake and Halle Berry.
After obtaining their trust, Walker instructed the girls to meet him for bogus photoshoots and other gigs only to have unconsenting sex with them.
Walker was eventually arrested in 2018 following many women coming forward and speaking out on what Walker did to them. According to the Los Angeles Polie Department, he was held on over $1 million bail.
Walker could name-drop Berry because the two starred in the 2018 film Kings and dated for some time before he was accused of sexual assault by numerous women and arrested.
While Berry hasn’t said anything about his arrest, R&B singer Kehlani who dated the serial rapist has spoken out about her ex and his sexual behavior, claiming she knew many of his victims. She called out the publications that defended Walker or gave him a platform in a video.

Deputy District Attorney Cynthia Wallace said the actor was “truly a predator” and told jurors about how he preyed on the innocent girls’ hopes and dreams.
“What does he tell her? ‘Well, you know what? If you want to do all of these things, if you want to be at parties with Drake, if you want to be a Victoria’s Secret model, you know what we have to do? We have to film a sex tape,” Wallace said, sharing a testimony from a victim for the closing arguments. “He’s a 22-year-old man telling a 16-year-old girl, ‘We have to film a sex tape.’”
