Veteran Atlanta rapper T.I.’s son King has clapped back at critics who claimed he’s “trying to be gangsta” following his recent arrest.
According to HITC, King addressed the claims via an expletive-filled video in his Instagram stories.
“Everybody that’s [saying a] n***a [is] tryna be gangsta: I ain’t ask for the police to pull me over. Y’all b***h a*** n****s,” he said.
In a follow-up photo uploaded to his IG stories, King gave the finger and wrote, “I’m bacc. F*** 12!! A lil minor set bacc fa a major come bacc.”
The 18-year-old was reportedly arrested on Aug. 31, but it’s currently unknown exactly why. In a video that went viral following his release, he was allegedly heard saying he “got four” while sitting in a car. An unidentified woman was also seen sitting next to him, and she received a violation for not wearing a seatbelt.
As the news made rounds on social media, many accused King of trying to portray a “gangster” lifestyle. Instagram users even flooded his page with comments expressing their thoughts.
“This young man is so privileged that he is not thinking right. He is going about life all wrong…This young man [comes] from wealth with a huge advantage,” @67bernadette commented.
“Just be yourself you don’t have to act like you a killer or a shooter u wasn’t raised in the hood we all seen you grow up on tv you are a good kid,” @17st_jon wrote.
“You need to stop tryna be a street n***a so bad you blessed. You [were] literally born into wealth [and] you wanna be from the streets so bad. I’ll gladly trade lives with you,” @_santanna2x said.
T.I. reportedly went on Instagram Live saying King will end up in prison if he “keeps up” his alleged behavior. The rapper even took a second to take a selfie with a fan who asked for the flick while he spoke his piece.
“Think I ain’t told my son, his mama, and his grandmama? His a** [is] going to prison if he goddamn keeps [it] up…Ain’t no way around it. Ain’t nothing I’m going to be able to do about it. Can’t nobody stop it but him. I’ve already had the conversation. I’ve already made my peace with it. ‘Cause I know that energy—I was that energy. I know exactly how it’s gonna turn out.”
