The Millenium Verzuz battle featured R&B singers that had girls swooning in the early 2000s with their sultry voices and immense sex appeal. However, Ray J, Sammie, Pleasure P, and Bobby Valentino recently discussed forming a group following the highly anticipated event that happened nearly a week ago.
On Monday, the singers took to Instagram Live and recapped the matchup while laughing at the artists’ hilarious antics during the battle. After admitting to rewatching the show and pointing out moments where they could have done better, the vocalists considered starting an R&B group called RSVP. In addition, Valentino seemingly took credit for the name.

The men continued talking about their group plans, with Pleasure jokingly calling themselves the new Jodeci. Meanwhile, Sammie confirmed there would be no lead singer. He later said the group wouldn’t last long after identifying ego-related issues during the conversation.
“We not gon’ make it far! S**t’s in shambles already. Pleasure wanna fight, I wanna talk, Ray won’t drink the tea and Bob keeps going to his got damn piano!!! JESUS! We need a manager!”
The Atlanta native then tagged Mario and asked if the “Just A Friend” artist would serve as a voice coach for the group. “@marioworldwide, you’re our vocal coach. Because this s**t gonna go LEFT!!! Fast!,” Sammie added.
Sammie then declared the first order of business is making great music for the fans to enjoy. “We can’t be a group if we got bad music and none of us creates bad music,” he said.
Verzuz initially announced the music battle on social media, with Omarion and Mario being the latest matchup on the music platform, Sis2Sis reported. However, things changed when the additional artists were added to the lineup. While viewers criticized the music platform for not keeping the battle between the two artists, it turned out to be an event that fans and artists would never forget.
