Lamar Odom, 42, recently spoke out in support of Khloe Kardashian after Tristan Thompson confirmed that he fathered a third child with another woman while reportedly in a relationship with the reality star, US Weekly reported.
“I truly wish nothing but the best for her, and I’m hoping we can reconnect and talk one day as friends,” said the former Los Angeles Lakers star in a statement from a news story he shared on his official Facebook page. “She is a good person and deserves the world.”

Before Kardashian’s relationship with Thompson, she was married to Odom. The former couple had a four-year marriage that ended in 2013, and the divorce wasn’t finalized until 2016 after she withdrew her petition to care for the Queens native after he suffered a drug overdose in 2015.
Recently, Odom appeared on TV One’s Uncensored, discussing details regarding his NBA career, drug addiction, and past romances, including his relationship with Taraji P. Henson, the Sun reported.
The ex-athlete said he blamed himself for how he ended things with Henson.
“Things ended with me and Taraji because me being an immature punk, I didn’t know how to tell her I was falling in love with another woman named Khloe Kardashian,” he said during the interview.
“I just wish I could have respected women a lot more. Maybe I should have respected them a lot more from not having a mother. For some reason — I don’t know — I just overdid it,” he noted.
Odom continued in the clip: “I just wish I could have respected women a lot more. Maybe I should have respected them a lot more from not having a mother. For some reason — I don’t know — I just overdid it.”
He shared details about his relationship with Henson along with the first time he met the Acrimony star: “I met Taraji at a HBO party. I met her, we hit it off right away, and I remember I really, really, really started liking her, and I just wish I would have done things different with her.”
“She was a little older than me, but I learned a lot from her because that was the most significant relationship, as a grown-up, that I had with a Black woman.”
He added, “I used to carry her picture on the road with me. She gave me inspiration. A Black woman working like that, that’s just as good at her craft as I am at mine.”
As Sis2Sis previously reported, the Sacramento Kings center apologized to Kardashian, 37, with whom he shares 3-year-old daughter True.
“Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions. Now, that paternity has been established.”
“I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I’ve hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately,” Thompson posted.
“Khloé, you don’t deserve this. You don’t deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years,” Thompson wrote. “My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you, regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry,” he added.
Harvey Englander, Nichols’ attorney, dismissed the 30-year-old’s statements regarding the paternity test and did not doubt that he was the father of the woman’s baby.
“There was never any doubt that Tristan Thompson was the father of Maralee Nichol’s baby. Tristan made numerous false and defamatory statements and declarations about Maralee over the past few months, and she is taking his contrite statement today in the context of all of those statements.”
Kardashian has not publicly made comments following Thompson’s test results.
