MTV reality star Nelson Thomas faced a considerable challenge when his flirtation with a married woman resulted in him being knocked out and robbed by the woman’s husband in November.
According to Kevin Dixon, he and his wife shared a hotel elevator ride with the man. The husband exited when the elevator stopped while the wife paused to respond to Thomas’ words. When the husband found the conversation continuing at the valet stand outside, he punched and kicked Thomas in the face, breaking his nose. He then snatched Thomas’ $10,000 chain from his neck.
Las Vegas police reported that the incident occurred at the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas and ended in Dixon being charged with battery and grand larceny.
The reality star’s explanation on Instagram gave a different story.
“To make a long story short, I was in Las Vegas and was sucker punched & kicked in the face because the guy was trying [to] steal my jewelry,” Thomas wrote to explain the photos and videos he posted on Instagram. The broken nose swelled so much that physicians could not treat him until the swelling had subsided.
Thomas praises his physician for repairing the damage and fixing his face.
