Pam Grier is a 70s icon in Black culture. She’s a damn national treasure. The veteran actress, known for her brickhouse figure and stunning good looks, is easily one of the most recognizable faces in Black Hollywood. But one sad sap took to Twitter to give his unsolicited opinion about the ebony goddess.
On March 5, Twitter user @NotUncleJu found time to come on Beyoncé’s internet to slander Grier’s looks, writing, “For the record, I never understood what n****s saw in Pam Grier. There I said it.”
First of all, nobody asked him.
Black Twitter users showed up in flocks to gather the delusional man and prove why Grier is still the culture’s finest baddie.

Grier took her newfound appreciation in stride. She graciously thanked her supporters for the love.

The 71-year-old actress was a former beauty pageant runner-up, winning second place in the Miss Colorado pageant in 1967, according to BlackPast.org.
An agent urged Grier to take up acting. One year later, the actress moved to Los Angeles, where she took acting classes and went out for movie roles. In 1969, Grier was cast in Beyond the Valley of the Dolls. Still, Coffy made her a household name and won her a multi-movie deal with American International Pictures in 1973, the publication reported.

Grier became the queen of blaxploitation films, including Foxy Brown, Friday Foster and Sheba. The actress was known for playing fierce, gorgeous sex symbols.
After her wave of blaxploitation films ended, the icon appeared in other films like Fort Apache, the Bronx, Something Wicked this Way Comes, and Above the Law– but her later work was in television.
Grier’s film career received a jumpstart after 30 years when she starred in Jackie Brown, Quentin Tarantino’s 1997 hit movie. From that performance, she earned an NAACP Image Award and multiple Golden Globe Nominations.
