A seven-year-old Texas girl named Dakota White has been dubbed the ‘fasted kid in the nation,” as she recently set a new record for the Junior Olympics.
According to reports, Dakota ran for under 60 seconds at the AAU Junior Olympics. Together, she and her teammates with Xpress Track Club in Fort Worth set a new national record in the girls 8 and under 100-meter relay with an ending time of 59.08. The trailblazing moment was shared via her official TikTok page on Aug. 7.

“I just run really hard,” Dakota said when asked how she did it.
Her dad, Cam White, a former TCU wide receiver, explained that he began training with her at just three years old. By the age of six, he said, she was winning all her races due to her extraordinary athletic abilities.
“She just had form, like crazy form. It wasn’t fast, but her form was already perfect. So then as she progressed, we started getting her different trainers,” he proudly said. “She’s just excelling in a sport that she loves now.”
Cam added that he helped his daughter while she trained for her recent race by eating healthy and keeping her hydrated. She reportedly practiced every day this past summer, despite the heat.
“[i] cut down on different snacks and foods, eating pretty healthy. As a kid, you know they like to eat a lot of junk food. Don’t get me wrong. I didn’t take a lot away from her, but we limited what she could eat. She trains hard,” he said.
Dakota first made headlines in 2021 when TikTok videos of her beating her competition on the track went viral.
In one of her latest social media videos, the young girl shared a video showing off her new Junior Olympics gold medal, noting that accumulated a lot others as well.
“I work hard and I have a lot of gold medals,” she said in the clip which was a part of YT channel Whistle’s new video profiling the young sports star.
