Veteran comedienne and actress Mo’Nique has found an unlikely ally in rapper 50 Cent.
On March 4, the Queens emcee, executive producer and show writer for STARZ network’s hit series Power: Book 2, Black Mafia Family (BMF) and Power Book 4: Tommy took to Instagram to tell fans that he was ready to offer the Baltimore native a role on Power: Book 2. 50 posted a brilliantly edited video of Mo’Nique’s character “Mary” from the 2009 hit film Precious with a scene from Power.
He captioned the video with praises for the Academy Award-winning actress, “I Gotta get @therealmoworldwide back in pocket, we only suppose to cancel shit that ain’t good for the culture. we need you to WIN again now MO’NIQUE.”

Fans immediately went up for the actress and 50’s suggestion.
User @csrigger agreed, writing, “Yes, make her part of the power universe💯💯💯.”
Even Naturi Naughton, who played “Tasha” on Power, showed The Parkers actress love.
“I love me some @therealmoworldwide ❤️
Deon Taylor was here for it as well, writing, “WE ALL IN @50cent 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥.”
He also shared additional posts showing his love for Mo’Nique.

50’s props to the performer seemingly stemmed from him seeing her perform during the Super Bowl weekend.

Fans also showed appreciation for the sentiment.
“Put her in some of your shows 50! Please! The game is missing Monique! Hollyweird did her real greasy,😒” one fan wrote on the post.
Another person wrote, “This is dope, she needed this level of support, you solid for this👑💯.”
Mo’Nique appears to be bouncing back fabulously since she was blackballed in Hollywood over ten years ago.
The comedienne openly called out Tyler Perry, Oprah Winfrey and Lee Daniels when she seemingly fell off for not wanting to promote Precious during award season.
She also went in on her longtime friend, comedian Steve Harvey, for abandoning and speaking against her during that time. The two had a long-overdue conversation on his show in 2019.
“I said one word,” explained Mo’Nique “And that was ‘no.’”
“I said no to some powerful people,” she continued. “I said no to Oprah Winfrey, I said no Tyler Perry, I said no to Lee Daniels and I said no to Lionsgate. The difficulty came when people that look like me, like Oprah, Tyler, Lee Daniels — and I gotta put my brother Steve [Harvey] on the list — y’all knew I was not wrong. Each one of you said to me, ‘Mo’Nique you’re not wrong.’”
She went on to explain how Harvey’s actions hurt her.
“When you went on the air and said, ‘My sister burned too many bridges and there’s nothing I can do for her now,’ do you know how hurt I was?”
Since the airing of that show, Mo’Nique seems to have pulled through. The funny woman has hit the road with her comedy tour.
We can definitely see Mo’Nique on one 50’s series. And her bravery and principles are what make her one of the baddest sisters to ever do it.
