50 Cent Says The Actor Who Plays Dru Is Not Gay, Just Plays One On TV

Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson is defending actor Lovell Adams-Gray who portrays Dru in “Power Book II: Ghost” from accusations that he plays an openly gay character on the hit crime show.

Adams-Gray received a lighthearted defense from the show’s creator and producer on Instagram after the rapper-turned-media mogul addressed a wiki article questioning the actor’s real-life sexuality.

“No[,] he is not gay in real life, but if they make him do one more sex scene his ass gonna be gay as a [sic] motherfvcker,” 50 Cent wrote. “OK we get it, the characters gay. His family like, [‘]why you gotta do that batty boy shit on my show[,] man[?’] Bumbaclaat!”

Dru is a character on “Power Book II: Ghost”, which is a spin-off of the original “Power” series.

Dru is the younger brother of Zeke, a college basketball star, and the nephew of Tariq St. Patrick, the show’s main character.

In an interview with Hip Hollywood, Adams-Gray, promoting the then-upcoming release of season 2 in 2021 of “Power Book II: Ghost,” said he has a responsibility playing a gay character respectably, saying ” Drew’s truth isbeing displayed.”

Dru is portrayed as a stylish and confident young man who is openly gay. He is also a talented DJ and music producer and is often seen performing at parties and events. Dru is fiercely loyal to his family and friends and is not afraid to stand up for what he believes in.

Throughout the series, Dru is involved in several storylines, including his relationship with his boyfriend, his struggles with his family’s criminal past, and his involvement in Tariq’s drug dealing operation.

Despite facing many challenges and obstacles, Dru remains a resilient and determined character, always looking for a way to succeed and thrive in his personal and professional life.
