Rapper 2 Chainz and business partner Snoop face backlash after former employees cited allegations involving their Atlanta-based restaurants.
According to The Jasmine Brand, the business mogul’s allegedly hired a known sex offender as one of their managers, maintained a toxic environment for employees, issued bounced checks, and rodent infestation.
Atlanta residents and those visiting the area are likely to patron Escobar Restaurant & Tapas if they’re looking for a well-known spot with a fun atmosphere. The establishment was founded five years ago by the rapper, born Tauheed Epps, and entrepreneur Snoop, whose real name is Mychel Dillard.
Several employees who previously worked for Escobar have called the lounge out as multiple allegations against the business have surfaced.
On Wednesday, a woman named Shalyse shared shocking information on her Instagram account, involving the general manager from Escobar, Lawrence Robertson. He allegedly shot at her while she was leaving work. Shalyse uploaded multiple videos to her IG page, highlighting the aftermath of the alleged incident. She captioned the post,
“On Monday, December 20th, my general manager (Lawrence Robertson) at Escobar Restaurant & Tapas shot at me as I was leaving work. He then fled the scene before he could face any repercussions.”
The former employee suggested that Roberton wasn’t terminated from his position, despite Snoop being aware of what happened.
“Not one owner or manager bothered to check on me following the incident. Instead, @whoissnoop felt that the best decision for the company was to rehire Robertson at Escoseafood despite knowing what occurred. Crazy right? So I’m left without employment while the man who SHOT AT ME gets to walk around as if nothing happened.”

She also mentioned that Snoop reportedly blocked her on her Instagram account.
Another person who formerly worked for the establishment also shared their claims against the restaurant owners. According to the woman, another manager named Amos Charles Wallace, who was hired to run the Atlanta native’s restaurants, is a registered sex offender. The woman also accused Snoop of not compensating her for her work at the popular bar.
She also uploaded video footage of what appears to be rats at Crave Restaurant, which is another establishment that 2 Chainz and Snoop own.

Though 2 Chainz has not publicly addressed the allegations regarding his restaurants, Snoop shared a now-removed post to her IG stories to address what has been said by the former employees.
